Guest-Star: Louis Brazil
Long-time reader Louis Brazil features as the guest-star for today’s installment. Louis wrote in:
Hi Krishna,
So besides being a computer consultant to the creative industry (providing training, troubleshooting, and tech support for Macintosh systems to ad agencies, design firms, commercial printers, video houses, and recording studios), I am also a musician. The attached pictures are from a recent performance on a small jazz/pop drum kit I use.
I would love if you could incorporate my drumming into a tech theme… perhaps something with an iPhone or MacBook Air? Maybe something about how addicted we are to technology that even while playing music, we’re checking something on the Internet?
Let me know if you need more pictures, etc.
Thank you again,
Louis
So the challenge for me was to come up with a comic that tied Louis’ two passions: drumming and Macintosh. It was genuinely fun to work on. I love creating guest-star comics because they force me to think in directions I would never have gone before with The PC Weenies. With today’s toon, Louis’s avatar is now emblazed proudly on the Featured Guest Stars page. Will you be next?

Krish love this layout… from the three boxes to the open one at the end, great job!
This is an e-mail from one of Louie’s biggest fans and a true groupie of his–after all, I am his cousin! He is a god among men, literally a true Renaissance man.
Louis Brazil is a colleague of mine. Hope I spelled that correctly. He’s awesome. He’s always coming up with creative ways to do something so familiar – so different. Always finding ways to combine things together, or at least, putting them in PEOPLE’S MINDS TO WHERE THEY PONDER ON THEM, DRIVES THEM CRAZY CAUSE THEY WANT TO TRY IT. THANKS FOR THE ENCOURAGING MOMENTS YOU GIVE TO US LOUIS!!!! ALWAYS GOTTA HELP PEOPLE DON’T CHA. GOOD GRIEF!!! SMOOCHES
[...] Louis Brazil, who’s daughter Zoe appeared in yesterday’s comic also commissioned me to draw a special comic for his wife Tracy. Today happens to be Tracy’s birthday – and Louis wanted to commemorate the event (and Valentine’s Day) with a very special comic for his wife. Happy Birthday, Tracy! [...]
