Much as I appreciate the continuing storyline, I think some of the sting is taken off the humour by not following the “gag” or “punchline” format used earlier.
I really enjoyed your old one-panel comics which was really why I began reading PCW in the first place. I hope you will consider re-introducing them at some stage. They had something unique about them.
I still like this style, but I feel the characters have got too “defined” now and the focus seems too much on the characters.
thanks for the feedback Hari. I appreciate it. Unfortunately, I have no plans to move back to the single panel format. If the need warrants it, I may produce one. I want to define the characters a bit more – it’s been my intent all along. Unfortunately, the single panel format does not work best for that.
I only partly disagree with Hari, I’ve been reading and following for the past 3+ years and have much enjoyed finally seeing the story arc’s. Both in PCWeenies and Uncubed. Single Panels will either be a hit or miss, great when the do, worse when they don’t. With the strips, even if they don’t strike a funny bone on a particular comic, you walk away with character development. Which ultimately builds a “closeness to the characters”, a needed realism/attachment so you can feel for them as they are put in different situations.
Humor is humor, in part because of how a person either: Interprets(or misinterprets) the joke(Puns, straight Jokes), perceives it(Stand-up, observational), or relates to it(Inside jokes, personal circumstances).
