Rebootus in Australia!

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

Readers are continuing to send in their photos with their “Rebootus Maximus” books. Today’s pics are courtesy of Ben Clapton. Ben can claim a true bragging right: His copy is the very first book “Rebootus Maximus” sighting in Australia!

The second photo shows the book’s interior with the custom sketch I drew for Ben.

Slowly but surely, “Rebootus Maximus” is making its way around the globe. Where will it turn up next? You’ll just have to stay ‘tooned. ;)

Today’s photo comes courtesy of Mr. Javier Hernandez. If you look carefully you can see a certain Spaceknight taking a peek inside the cover. Who could that be? Hmmmm….

Beardus Maximus Progress Update!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

Here’s the latest on the Beardus Maximus Meter:

And my beard progress so far…

Photo on 2009-10-28 at 23.08 #2

As of this writing, there are 33 days left till my beard’s execution. I only need to sell another 27 more books till I wear my beard to India. And a meager 77 books to shave my head completely bald to accompany said beard.

I’ll be out of the country December 19th, so please order your books early if you want them to arrive in time for the holidays.

more Rebootus to pack and ship!

If you’re interested in buying more than one copy of the book, contact me and I can give you a shipping quote. If you’re in the US, I can mail books via Priority flat rate boxes to save on shipping costs.

While there’s still a healthy number of “Rebootus Maximus” books available for purchase, I’ve got roughly 30 copies of the PC Weenies / UNcubed Sampler #1 comic book left. There will be no more reprints of Sampler #1 when it’s sold out…

Order now and order often :)

Help support The PC Weenies. Each book that is ordered helps me justify the inordinate amount of time I spend making comics for you. Buy a book to help me convince Aarti that it’s okay to spend all this time making comics. Because that’s who I ultimately have to answer to. :)

Thanks for your support!

Another Rebootus Maximus sighting!

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I love getting photos of readers with their copy of “Rebootus Maximus”. Below is reader Rob Stenzinger, musician and webcartoonist of ArtGeekZoo.

Hello Krishna,

Thank you for the awesome artist edition of Rebootus Maximus, I really dig the picture of Bob with his Footle Fone. :)

Please find some photos attached with me in my home office/studio/batcave enjoying the book.

The sampler comic is great too, makes me wish a full Uncubed book was available. Is there one in the works? Also, my wife, Kate really enjoyed discovering Uncubed and has started following it online. The only bad (but not really bad) thing – she hints that I should do a sweet family journal kind of comic.

Rebootus Maximus reader: Rob Stenzinger

Thanks for making awesome comics!

Thank YOU, Rob – for your generous support! And, an UNcubed book is something I definitely would like to do. If “Rebootus” continues to sell well, then I think that a book could happen! (hint! hint!) ;)

Rebootus Maximus Sighting: The Wayward Cartoonist!

Kevin Copeland, aka The Wayward Cartoonist, sent in his photo with his copy of “Rebootus Maximus” a few days back. Kevin is the webcartoonist behind FusterCluck, described as “the labors of a hired chicken trying to make sense from chaos”. :)

Thanks for your support, Kevin!

Announcement: Sunday Night Virtual Book Signing Event!

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

I’ll be having a virtual book signing event this Sunday evening starting at 7PM EST over at JustinTV. If you order an Artist Edition of “Rebootus Maximus” between now and Sunday, in addition to the signed, numbered book, you will also receive an 8.5″ x 11″ autographed print of a custom sketch featuring your favorite PC Weenies character. The print will be on 100lb cardstock and suitable for framing, stamped with an official PC Weenies mark so you know you’re getting a unique piece of PC Weenies history. Artist Edition orders will also receive the PC Weenies / UNcubed Sampler #1 (first print), while supplies last (I believe I’m down to about 20 or so copies). Get them before they’re all gone!

Regular edition “Rebootus Maximus” orders will receive their favorite character sketched in their book. I’ll toggle between camera and screen so you can actually see your book being autographed and sketched in. How cool is THAT? :)

Do you want to order multiple copies to give as gifts for friends? Are you in the US? You can order up to 7 books and get your books shipped for only $15.00 via Flat Rate Priority US Mail. Just email me if you’re interested.

I will be streaming this event (and recording it, in case you miss it) on Sunday, so you can actually stop by and see me draw your sketch LIVE on the screen.

The sketches will be digitally penciled and inked and in black and white, similar to what you see below. Pick your favorite PC Weenies or UNcubed character and I’ll draw it for you and include your print with your order!

Let’s make the Beardus Maximus meter reach its target!

Here’s a little Beardus Maximus progress update. 30 more “Rebootus Maximus” copies need to be sold before I can wear my beard to India and shave my head bald.

60 more copies need to be sold before I sport a dapper mohawk. The deadline to order books is December 17th. I’m off to India on the 19th and the 18th is allotted for head shaving (provided readers come through with their end of the bargain, that is.) ;)

Rebootus Maximus in Romania!

The “Rebootus Maximus” sightings continue! This excellent photo comes from reader Adrian Diaconu. He wrote:

Hi Krishna,

Love the book, keep up the good work.

Here’s a photo of me and the book at a famous Romanian landmark: the Palace of Parliament.

Great photo, Adrian! (And is that a Google hoodie you’re wearing?) :)

I really do enjoy receiving photos of readers with their “Rebootus Maximus” books. If you have your copy, take a snap and send it in! I’m hoping to make a separate page with photos from ALL the readers who have taken a pic with their book, along with a map showing where the book has landed. For now, I have a Flickr Group with photos I’ve received so far…

No book? No problem! :) You can order yours today!
