First up: I was recently interviewed by Bill Palmer for iProng Magazine. It was an honor to be asked, because iProng Magazine interviews a lot of heavy hitters in their magazine (like Felicia Day, Carlos Santana, Collective Soul, et. al).

It’s been over a week since I’ve had the house all by myself. As you probably know, I am participating in “Beardus Maximus” – whereby I don’t shave my face for every book that is ordered. As of this writing, I’ve got 4 days left before the blade takes the beard comes off.

My beard’s starting to itch a little, but as this photo shows, it’s starting to come in nicely. (Though I probably shouldn’t have taken the photo right after I’d woken up…). Your goal: make me look like a hobo for my upcoming trip to India. Aarti hates beards, and what better way to surprise her than by wearing one when I see her!

Buy a book. Save a beard. Freak out my wife.

I come home from an exhausting day at work to a mystery package, sent over by none other than the Mighty Javier Hernandez, cartoonist, podcaster, and all around incredible guy!

Before opening the package, I was immediately greeted by a very cool Javier sketch on the envelope. Perhaps a prediction of things to come? We’ll see…

Anyway, inside the package were two super sweet comic books. MAN SWAMP and MANGA MUERTO. MANGA MUERTO is super thick – and MAN SWAMP harkens back to the days of comics magazines from the 70’s. Both look amazing, and I can’t wait to read ‘em both tonight.

As of this writing, there are 33 days left till my beard’s execution. I only need to sell another 27 more books till I wear my beard to India. And a meager 77 books to shave my head completely bald to accompany said beard.

I’ll be out of the country December 19th, so please order your books early if you want them to arrive in time for the holidays.

Here’s a little Beardus Maximus progress update. 30 more “Rebootus Maximus” copies need to be sold before I can wear my beard to India and shave my head bald.

60 more copies need to be sold before I sport a dapper mohawk. The deadline to order books is December 17th. I’m off to India on the 19th and the 18th is allotted for head shaving (provided readers come through with their end of the bargain, that is.)
