Big Boss Way of the Dragon Game of Death

Widely regarded as the best martial arts movie ever filmed, "Enter the Dragon" was an action picture dealing with the philosophy and mastery of kung fu and karate. The movie represented the first collaboration between Eastern and Western studios (Golden Harvest and Warner Bros., respectively) to produce a major blockbuster, and included an international cast of martial artists.(It was also the first Bruce Lee film in which his voice was not dubbed.)

"Enter the Dragon" focuses on a martial arts tournament led by a renegade Shaolin priest, named Han. Bruce is sent to the tournament by way of a Bristish Intellegency Agency (ala James Bond) and must infiltrate the 'secret of Han's island'. The film also featured John Saxon, a major film star in the US, and Jim Kelly, the 1971 international middleweight karate champion.

The movie itself was a challenge to film, mostly because of the language barriers between both production studios. There were only five American technicians and 500 Chinese that worked together to handle production of the movie.

The movie itself was complete in May 1973, and, contrary to popular belief, Bruce DID have a chance to view the final product. Sadly, Bruce Lee died a mere three weeks before the movie was officially released in the US.

"Enter the Dragon" was made with the intent to make martial arts more accessible and enjoyable to the average person, and it certainly did achieve its goal, based on its enormous success in theaters world-wide.
